First Visit

We hope that your initial examination at our office will be a great experience beyond your expectations.

Depending upon your needs and wants our initial evaluation may take an hour or slightly longer. We may take a 3 dimensional digital x-ray of your mouth and/or a 3 dimensional digital impression as well.

This is done to get a detailed picture of your unique set of conditions and for Dr. Torrey to develop a detailed and customized treatment plan. Some cases are straight forward and we can provide you a treatment plan that day.

Other, more complex cases will require more advanced treatment planning and may require a follow up appointment for additional data collection or a consultation visit.

Whatever your issues may be, it is of utmost importance to us that you have your input into proposed treatment and fully understand all aspects before moving forward with care.

We are very proud of our on time reputation and want to give you our utmost attention therefore we ask you to help by providing the following information before the time of your appointment: Please be as detailed as possible in the Dental questionnaire.

• Completed health and dental history forms. ( will be send electronically to a HIPPA compliant site in our office)
• A list of medications and/or supplements/vitamins that you are presently taking.
• The name of the guest who recommended our office so we may thank them.
• We would like to know if you have had difficulty with local anesthetic for dental work in the past or if you have dental anxiety.

IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the initial examination visit and subsequent restorative dental appointments. Hygiene visits do not require guardians wait in the office.

X-Rays

If your previous dentist has taken recent x-rays (within 6-months), you may request that they forward them to our office. Please understand that if the images are not of acceptable diagnostic quality additional films may be required. Generally digital films can be emailed to our office on short notice.
